Planning Committee

The Town of Dayton Planning Committee, hereinafter referred to as the Committee,
is authorized under State law (15-02-502).

The Committee is a citizen volunteer group appointed by the Mayor of Dayton
and approved by the Town Council Members.

The Committee, under the direction of the Town Council and Mayor, reviews items such as annexations, building permits, proposed subdivisions, variance requests and any other items requested. The committee is charged with reviewing proposals from developers/builders. The committee may advise the developer/builder on Town policy and ordinance requirements and make recommendations to the Town Council on the proposal.

The Committee meets the second Tuesday of each month. Meetings are held in the Lucille Alley room at the Town Hall and begin at 6:30. The public is invited to attend to learn about the project being reviewed. The Chair may allow members of the public to comment at the meeting.
